The architecture of the new building
The new building takes the form of a modern, individual and functional structure. The predominant feature of the street frontage, the main façade of the new hotel, is its overhanging canopy and projecting supports that terminate in flagpoles. The natural stone sides of the building flank glass surfaces whose horizontal articulation is emphasised by projecting balconies. A connecting unit forms the architectural link between the hotel and the neighbouring building.
The hotel occupies the main building. The ground floor accommodates the lobby, main desk and lounge areas. The glass lift takes guests up to the bedrooms and seminar floor, where there are different sizes of meeting and function room accommodating between 5 and 150 persons for banquets, celebrations and other events. On the top floor are 2 suites and a multifunctional seminar room. Views of the lake, the foothills of the Alps and on a good day the Alps themselves can be enjoyed from here.
